A new agreement was made between YouTube and a bevy of writers, filmmakers and artists of France, which will allow the channel to showmore content online in France.
YouTube entered into an agreement with the Société des Auteurs et Compositeurs Dramatiques (SACD), Société Civile des Auteurs Multimedia (SCAM) and Société des Auteurs dans les arts Graphiques et Plastiques (SAGP), which is the association of a number of writers, directors, visual artists, architects, and others. Similarly, as quoted by Silicon Republic, on Saturday (11/27/2010).
The agreement will ensure that the three French clubs will be paid when their production is shown on YouTube
"This collaboration will open up significant new opportunities for our members," said Pascal Rogard, CEO of SACD.
"We are committed to supporting the creative artistic industry in France. Partnership that we have built in recent months, enough to describe this position," said Carlo d'Asaro Biondo, vice president of Google Europe, South and East, Middle East and Africa (EMEA .)
