2011, Acer eyeing the HP market

Acer currently is still the number two PC vendor in the world. Next year, there is no other target for Acer in addition to taking over HP's current position at the top of the world PC market.
This was submitted by the CEO of Acer, Gianfranco Lanci, in an interview with the media in Germany, SonntagsZeitung.
"If the mobile market continues to grow then we also have to replace HP's position as the largest computer vendor in the world," Lanci said, as quoted by Reuters on Monday (29/11/2010).
The same thing has been shown this Taiwanese company chairman, JT Wang, some time ago. Wang believes that Acer is embracing the highest peak by the end of this year, despite some negative impact from the economic recession in Europe and rising wage in China was hit. Wang expects the company to increase revenue in the third quarter, up from 10 percent in the second quarter to 15 percent.
Lanci added, in addition to HP's target to beat next year. Acer is also confident will be able to sell more units of smartphones this year, even up to millions of units.
Acer targets in the smartphone market is not grandiose. After officially entering the mobile phone market last year, Acer optimistic able to achieve approximately six to seven percent market share of mobile phones in the world in the next three to five years into the future.
Although only sold in limited numbers, Acer's business can be spelled out quite successful. Even the handset makers began to be alert to the intentions of the PC vendors who began to invade the mobile market.
